Dublin Little League

Parent/Spectator Rules

  1. Players are the responsibility of the manager and coaches while on the field. Parents are to refrain from any coaching from the side lines. If you have any concerns please feel free to talk to the manager and coaches BEFORE or AFTER the games, or practices.
  2. Absolutely NO criticism, angry remarks, physical or verbal abuse, or any profane language towards the manager, coaches, umpires or players. Any infraction can lead to immediate removal from the premises.
  3. Our umpires are all volunteers, most of whom are fairly new to umpiring. Without them games can not be played. While you may not always agree with them, the umpire’s calls are FINAL.
  4. Non-rostered players or any other persons not participating in the game (injured players, parents, and siblings) are not allowed in the dugout or on the playing field. Little League rules dictate that you refrain from talking to the players any time during warm-ups and games.
  5. Fans are not allowed to watch the game from behind the backstop. This distracts the players, umpires and scorekeepers.
  6. Remember that our Little League players are children, not professional players. They thrive on your encouragement and suffer from criticism. Applaud good plays; ignore the errors. Model good sportsmanship for both teams (winners and losers).
  7. Enjoy the game for what it is. If it is not fun, it is not Little League.
  8. DLL has a discipline and complaint committee that will handle all issues that are referred to them.
  9. You can address complaints and concerns to any DLL board members that may be on site. Or feel free to email them. Board Member email addresses can be found on the Dublin Little League website at dublinll.org. If they are not present, please address concerns to your managers and follow the DLL Complaint Process, which can be found on the website as well.
