Hello DLL Members,
This Saturday is evaluations for upper divisions. Email notifications have gone out to participants and will also be re-sent regarding finalized evaluation times for this Saturday, 12/14 (also see the attached spreadsheet). If you have not been contacted, please check your junk mail and/or send a note to [email protected] .
Evaluation Time List
In the event that you cannot make your time slot, also please email [email protected] to reschedule or to confirm that your player can attend the makeup evaluation which is set for Monday, 12/16 at Fallon Softball Field 1. If you cannot attend either of these days, do not worry, every player that registers will make a roster.
Please arrive for your time slot 30 minutes early to check-in.
Required Gear:
- Baseball Hat
- Baseball Glove
- Protective Cup
- Baseball Shoes (be mindful the field may be wet)
- Appropriate attire depending on weather conditions that day (may need a long sleeve undershirt & jacket)
- Water
- A POSITIVE ATTITUDE
Optional:
- Bats
- Baseball Pants
- Batting helmet
- Batting gloves
Players will be assessed on the following skills:
- Fly Balls - each player will receive fly balls in the outfield. After fielding the fly ball, he/she will throw the ball to second base, where a player will be assigned to receive the throw.
- Infield Balls - each player will receive grounders at the short stop position. Upon fielding the ball, he/she will throw to first base, where a player will be assigned to receive the throw.
- Hitting - each player will receive coach pitched balls to hit.
- Running- each player will run from home to first and then from home to third and be timed
- Pitching - each Player will pitch balls from the mound to home plate.
